Art for Growth (AFG) is forming a core of reliable, talented, local actors from the DC, Northern VA, Central, and Southern MD areas.

We are auditioning students, interns, and professional actors. We are also seeking local cinematographers working with local small film crews.

Though the script is a screenplay, it's performed live as part of the workshop and, in some instances, filmed during the workshop. The workshop is an interactive, powerful experience developed for young people aging out of the Foster Care and Juvenile Justice system. However, the workshop may also serve as a regular public event. It is a rewarding, creative way to use, develop, and be compensated for one's acting skills on a local level.

Selected actors will be given the workshop's 14-page script to learn. When workshops are scheduled, actors in the collective will be contacted to check for availability. Actors are booked on a first-available, first-chosen basis. Casting calls are rotated to ensure everyone has a chance to work.
