Joanne Hock is one of the film industry's best-kept secrets. Joanne possesses a heart of gold and a keen eye for captivating stories and cinema. She directed several beautiful family and faith-based films, including When We Last Spoke, starring Corben Bernson, Cloris Leachman, and Melissa Gilbert. She was also the director for The Ultimate Legacy with Brian Dennehy and Bill Cobbs, Trinity Goodheart with James Hong, and my favorite, Discarded Things with Karen Abercrombie. Joanne is a Nichol's Fellowship screenwriting Finalist and Americans for the Arts workshop recipient. We are delighted and blessed to have her as one of the Community's advisors.

Tracey Webb is an expert in the world of nonprofits. She has served the nonprofit sector for over twenty years and continues to be a champion for those providing for communities throughout the DMV. Webb has been featured in national media such as NPR and Ebony magazine and is the recipient of several honors and awards, including the ASALH and Trailblazer Award. She possesses expertise in giving circles/collective giving, nonprofit management communication, data collection, program evaluation, and grantmaking in federal and state governments. One of her most outstanding contributions has been her work as the founder of Black Benefactors, a giving circle based in Washington, DC. She is an invaluable asset to any organization. We are honored and blessed to have her as an advisor.

Brian BaughAs a filmmaker, Brian Baugh is in a league of his own. His ability to write and direct quality, inspirational and emotionally satisfying content is among the strongest in the industry. His films include The World We Make, Finding You, To Save A Life, and I’m Not Ashamed, nominated for a GMA Dove Award for Most Inspirational Film. We are indeed thankful and honored to have Brian as one of our cherished advisors.

Judi Laganga  is among the crème de la crème of professional actresses within the DMV area. With over 40 years of acting experience, including stage and film, Judi's talent has developed into an exquisite representation of the craft. She has lent her skills and eye for talent to past Art for Growth projects. When expressing her views regarding the current state of mainstream media, Judi wrote, "In these changing times, it has become more and more apparent the need for messages with meaning, movies our younger generations can get positive messages from, messages of Change and of Hope and Faith. It is my honor to be a part of Community Flicks."
